Everyone has their own definition of what a great and special day is. For us it's often time spent outdoors and it's always time spent together. My daughters and I took my wife to do one of her favourite weekend activities; hiking. We chose a reasonable mountain for a morning hike and spent some wonderful time together. There's very little like summiting a mountain to very nicely punctuate the day. We made rather short work of our way back down the mountain and then we then we were on our way to Peterborough for some lunch. A quick drive home and we all settled down for some well needed rest (which gave me the opportunity to catch up on the results from the GP of Turkey).
It's nice to have a quiet weekend every now and then.
